"Hell Yes’s" is inspired by my mom's constant use of the phrase "follow your hell yeses." A "hell yes" refers to anything that you want for sure, without any doubt. She has instilled in me from a young age the importance of pursuing my hell yeses, and this series is based on that pursuit. The four hell yeses for me were my plants, my jewelry, my perfume, and my tattoos. Wherever I go in life I bring my plants, I always wear my eye necklace and rings, the smell of flowers, and my body will forever carry my tattoos. I used some of my favorite colors for this piece because I felt that they would best represent me, and they helped emphasize the fact that these things are personal to me. I then shaded around them in a static vignette to show their value in my life, because the haze around the background leaves only the depicted object as the primary focus.
